The Ecoflow River 2

The EcoFlow River 2 is a portable power station with a LifePo4 battery that is perfect for camping, loadshedding, or any other time you need to stay powered up on the go. It has a capacity of 256Wh, which can power a variety of devices, including laptops, smartphones, tablets, and lights. It also has one AC outlet, two USB-A ports, a USB-C port, and a DC port (car charger), so you can charge multiple devices simultaneously.
One of the best things about the EcoFlow River 2 is its fast-charging speed. It can be fully charged from empty in just 60 minutes using an AC outlet. You can also charge it using a car charger, a solar panel, or a combination of these methods.
Another impressive feature of the EcoFlow River 2 is its X-Boost technology. This allows you to run devices that draw up to 600W, even though the power station’s maximum output is 300W. This means you can power small appliances like mini fridges and such with ease. This is appliance dependant as we tried powering up our microwave at 500W and the poor River 2 couldn’t survive. It gave an Overload error and shut itself down. Needless to say, I was not impressed because my food was still cold.
The EcoFlow River 2 is also very lightweight and portable. It weighs just 3.5kg, so you can easily carry it with you on your adventures. It also has a built-in handle for easy transportation.
The Ecoflow River 2 can be monitored from the EcoFlow mobile app using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi which is convenient to check how much longer the battery has left. You can switch the AC and DC ports on or off from the app as well. The only issue we’ve found is that every time you want to check up on the app you have to reassign the power station to your device, and it can only be monitored from one device at a time.
Overall, the EcoFlow River 2 is a great portable power station that is perfect for a variety of uses. It is powerful, fast-charging, and lightweight, making it a great choice for anyone who needs to stay powered up on the go.
